Arnold's Love Child Saga Means He Won't Be Back in Movie Theaters For Now
Following this week's love child revelations, Arnold Schwarzenegger said today through his lawyer that he's putting his Hollywood comeback on hold.
I won't be back.
That put to rest speculation that, while bad for political aspirations, sleeping around and getting mad headlines for it, even when you end up with an out-of-wedlock kid, is no bad thing for a film career.
Of course, Arnold is 63, so this break better be brief. Here's what entertainment counsel Patrick Knapp stated for Schwarzenegger today:
At the request of Arnold Schwarzenegger we asked Creative Artists Agency to inform all his motion picture projects currently underway or being negotiated to stop planning until further notice. Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines. This includes Cry Macho, The Terminator franchise and other projects under consideration. We will resume discussions when Governor Schwarzenegger decides.
Will we still love him on the big screen when he's 64?
What roles could he possibly play? He was apparently scheduled to do Terminator 5 (subtitled His Back ... is Killing Him) and a film called Cry Macho.
And while he still looks good, he could definitely use a 'roid injection to stiffen up those pecs.
Maybe during his time off he should also ponder such projects as Older School and a National Security sequel -- Social Security.
Well, good luck. He has mouths to feed, obviously.
