Robert Herrera, Alleged Chuck E. Cheese Killer, Suspected of Murdering for Good Parking Spot
Well, as of this week, his alleged killer and killer's passenger have been identified by "a TV viewer who saw composite drawings of the pair," according to City News Service.
Heira Herrera has been arrested. The bad news: Her brother, suspected killer Robert Herrera, 27, is still on the loose, considered "armed and dangerous" by the Sheriff's Department. So, to all you jerks pulling into that prime spot outside your little cousin's birthday party, even though a silver Chevy pickup (Herrera's ride) already has its blinker on:
Don't say we didn't warn you. Your parking-lot ruthlessness could have real, fatal consequences (in case getting rapped at by an angry white man isn't enough to keep you in line).
"Suspect Robert Herrera has eluded our surveillance team and is hiding somewhere in Los Angeles County," says the sheriff's statement today.
If you've seen the (alleged) Chuck E. Cheese killer -- not to be confused with the other Chuck E. Cheese killer, a Colorado man on death row for killing four people at an Aurora branch -- call detectives at (323) 890-5500.
From CBS LA's original report on the shooting:
According to police, the fatal shooting occurred between 7 and 8:15 p.m. on April 28 at La Alameda Plaza in the 7700 block of Alameda Street in the unincorporated Walnut Park area.
Daniel Villanueva, 29, of Huntington Park, was sitting inside his car when the suspect shot and killed him after a fight over a parking spot.
