'Green Day' Marijuana Dispensary on L.A.'s Skid Row Shut Down

• yall shout down green day inc ,all the billionaries in usa and yall cant get a million from them to help and feed all people,and help pay our bills,yall take our taxes and dont pay dont u think we poor people gonna kill u

• Don't forget the "aggressive" panhandling, jaywalking, misd. littering, felonious assaults, muggings, burglaries, and blatant "crack-whore" prostitution. Based upon the logic of "The "Man," the main misfits in this social debaucery are all Medical M. Cardholders or the actual dispensery owners themselves. We all know how much disposable income the homeless have, especially for self-medication.

•       When I was working as a bartender at Prime Time pub in Hollywood area. The BIGGEST MARIJUANA DEALERS ARE GOVERNMENT AGENTS!!! they have their own "Fastest and most Furious operation" they sold MARIJUANA BY THE POUNDS.  I did complain about this to the LAPD and Dept. of ABC also Dept. Homeland Sec. I have all evidence and witnesses. 

• This story is confusing. I know the name of the dispensary was the "Green Day Collective" but why is Billie Joe's photo featured? What exactly is the point of this story?

• A lot of people smoke Marijuana for Rehab purposes. I myself am a recovering Alcoholic who relies on Marijuana to keep me focused on the goal of not Drinking, and without it I would be at a much greater chance for Relapse. 

• so how does this have anything to do with green day?

• so where's the newest pharmacy that sells xanax, oxycodone, and other much more dangerous drugs? appparently, not only is that legal, but infinitely more moral.

• As anybody who's ever smoked weed would know, the two phenomena of people who blaze and people with crippling substance abuse problems are clearly separate issues.  Nobody who smokes weed exhibits the violent, anti-social behavior of crackheads, methheads, heroin junkies, and alcoholics; in fact, many would argue that marijuana has proven throughout history to be an effective TREATMENT for dependencies on other far more damaging substances and has alleviated far more suffering than it has ever caused.  Targeting a medical marijuana clinic on Skid Row is a far less sensible action than targeting any liquor stores in the area, yet you don't see the bureaucrats attempting to shut them down.  Medical marijuana clinics are sound businesses operating legally under the laws Californians approved democratically -- it's both economically counterproductive and legally irresponsible for city officials to target the clinics as some sort of menace when in fact they are stabilizing communities (check the RAND study linking closures of medical marijuana clinics to increases in violent crime).  In this time of economic instability, why in the world would our city be in the business of attacking the few independently owned businesses that are actually succeeding?

• Awesome!! now they can open a Dave and Buster's  or a Disney themed store in that spot. I also believe it is illegal to loiter on the street, shoot heroin, commit indecent exposure publicly and be publicly intoxicated. This sounds like strictly a money grab/shakedown by the city, and not any safety or quality of life improvements. FREAKING WEAK

• EVERY time (and y'all do it EVERY time) you call dispensaries 'pot shops', you discredit what they really are in the eyes of the City (yeah, they read your stuff, too) and place them in more jeopardy for patients like me. It's not a f%^king Trader Joe's, dude; you can't just wander in off the street to buy a Pepsi, some condoms and a joint, man. PLEASE STOP CALLING THEM POT SHOPS. I can't BEGIN to tell you how disrespectful it is to patients like myself who use these facilities to see publications (whether you mean to or not) trivialize these places. Yeah, there ARE some dispensaries who break the rules but those are also places I don't visit...I only use dispensaries that are legal and stringent. When you call it a "pot shop", the MM opposition and GOP immediately equate it with "crack den" or whatever ELSE their overactive (and WELL funded) imaginations can come up with...and that spells doom for patients like myself. I REALLY love L.A. Weekly but if your need to sell a story cockblocks MY need to treat my Rheumatoid Arthritis, I'll be super pissed...and looking for you. haha.
