A brush fire has broken out in Pacific Palisades and was threatening at least one home.
Do arsonists pay attention to the weather reports?
It's not yet clear how this one started. This is what we know:
The one-acre fire was reported at 12:12 p.m. at 15101 Pacific Coast Highway, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department's Brian Humphrey.
He said 61 "ground-based" firefighters and a whopping three helicopters were assigned to the blaze this afternoon.
We'll keep you updated.
[Update]: Humphrey tweeted about 12:41 p.m. that this thing was knocked down and kept to under an acre, with no homes damaged and no evactuations ordered.
The cause? Under investigation.
