There's not an app for that -- yet.
If you're a thoroughly modern 'tard who can't take two steps without consulting your smartphone for directions (guilty), then Google has a new update that should help you with the finest details of moving around the world.

It'll even assist you with finding a restroom. Unfortunately, the 6.0 update for the mobile version of Google Maps doesn't work on iPhones. There's no app for that (yet).

This is strictly Android business. So you rebels will be able to get around ...

... malls with the help of Google Maps. That's right, the Google Maps 6.0 for Android update will actually give you details and directions inside a retail environment, including L.A. Macy's locations.

Before you get too excited, though, the indoor maps don't yet seem to cover some of our most popular malls (Macy's excepted) such as The Grove, Third Street Promenade and Santa Monica Place, Westfield Century City shopping center, and others.

Eagle Rock Plaza, and Buena Park Downtown are the only other area retails that have signed on so far, according to Google.

They're working on it. A Google statement:

When you're inside an airport, shopping mall or retail store, a common way to figure out where you are is to look for a freestanding map directory or ask an employee for help. Starting today, with the release of Google Maps 6.0 for Android, that directory is brought to the palm of your hands, helping you determine where you are, what floor you're on, and where to go indoors.

Google has signed up "some of the largest retailers in the U.S. and Japan" to get their floorplans in its system, the search giant states.

But like we said, seems like this has miles to go before your phone sleeps. (And, yeah, we need an iPhone app for that).
