    I'm not fond of either her work or some of her viewpoints, her statements to younger girls that being a slut can be empowering, and that getting an STD is like catching the cold -- so I'd wouldn't be thrilled with her speaking to older students about sexual health issues, unless she has matured in some of her perspectives. (And I don't mean preaching abstinence -- lack of realistic and comprehensive sex ed is part of the reason U.S. adolescents have higher rates of STDs compared to their peers in other countries.).

  However, I can't decry Grey's actions in this context; I would like to see more affluent individuals give back to their communities. Grey herself is supposedly a product of a lower income background, and probably understands that early, consistent education can make a difference.  Such programs and financial assistance are extremely limited for the children of lower income families and school districts.  If she is sincere and is invested in giving her time to certain social programs, kudos to her.    .

How fitting that someone famous for receiving it in the _ss is at home in a public school. Maybe she can help pass out condoms in various elementary schools.

Please, people, learn how to spell. Grab some grammar lesson on the go, do SOMETHING. Even if I hate your ridiculous opinion, I'd like to be able to read it and be able to decipher a cohesive thought. That said, people change. A good parent doesn't freak out about something like this, because they know they can have a conversation with their kids about life's occurences. Like it or not, she is a public figure who is already working in mainstream films and as long as she proves that she can properly teach or lecture to kids (and this goes for any celebrity) then there shouldn't be a problem. Is her past something that should be discussed with those kids? No. While all of the facts aren't in, we have to assume that this was simply a person wanting to give back to the community and possibly some short-sightedness on the part of the school who should have guessed there would have been some controversy over the appearance.
