I concentrated on studying the founders history and life. It is a mistake to not do this as there are many examples of the negative things that subsequent followers did in the name of there founder, with the exception of one founder (Mohammad). For example; The Catholic POPE violates the very essence as to what Jesus preached and stood for, however Christianity is the teachings of Jesus and not the POPE. A good religion, such as christianity as taught by Jesus, and not the POPE, helped us lead to a better moral life.  A good book to read to better understand this is by D.James Kennedy - What if Jesus had Never Been Born.  Without a good philosophy you will have more chaos, anarchism and people who are only out for themselves. This is Human Nature not kept at bay by a good philosophy. You do not have to go to church to be good but do not count on nature do teach you good morals. You just have to find the right group that persuades thru education and not demands. I believe the problem is bigger than anything stated here because the majority of people do not understand the difference between governance, culture and religion.  This will affect court decisions, so it is important to once and for all define these words and define the major difference between each word. It took me 6 months to do that. An example will help. A woman signed a dress code before working for Disney. After a while she wanted to wear a head scarf as a religious requirement.. She was offered other positions, but refused and her lawyer stated this was a religious right. The lawyer is WRONG as the dress code is born out of culture, and the middle east weather. It is not religious. I can name 100's of things that people think are religious, but are not, they are part of a culture; and this applies to all religions. The problem is that most people  grew up in families that had a religion and culture and it becomes part of ones identity. To change it by saying it is evil will not work. Education is the answer if it is unbiased and historically true. BUt some religions, like Islam, reject studying other religions. • Dear Senator Lieu, For the past several days I have seen you in the news opposing Lowes decision to stop supporting a Muslim oriented TV show. • Can you name the MUSLIMS that were supposedly killed in 9-11?  Doesn't really matter though, everyone knows that MUSLIMS kill, doesn't really matter whom they kill, does it?  Iraq and Iran were entrenched in a war for years.  Still doesn't explain why none of you MUSLIMS condemned this ATROCITY...awfully quiet on this issue!

Do not confuse what people do in so call religions that are actually culturally derived/driven, and  not religion, such as wearing a hat or needing a foot bath, or wearing a beard, or celibacy, or swinging incense during a service, celebrating certain holidays. • Are you people screaming BOYCOTT of LOWE'S...NUTS?  There are 2,998 reasons I will NEVER support MUSLIMS and it is labeled under 9-11.  Those 2,998 will NEVER go home to their families because of the actiions of MUSLIMS on that one day...forget about the terror threat they pose all over the world.  Also, AFTER 9-11, NOT ONE MUSLIM GROUP, NOT ONE CLERIC, NOT ONE MUSLIM stood up and CONDEMNED this ATROCITY...NOT ONE!And now, I'm suppose to STAND-UP to boycott an AMERICAN company because they pulled financial support on a show, that had no business airing at all.  Am I still in America, do I or others have a right to support who they choose to support?  Do I or others have a right to an opinion or is that reserved for the LIBERAL LEFTIST groups? • Well I can say that I hate Lowe's with a passion- they took and ruined 4.5 years of my life and my family with their "Wal-mart tatics and Bullshit". • Yes, thank you for this obviously SLANTED and BIASED article of Lowe's pulling their advertising support for the TLC American Muslim show.  I THOUGHT this was America and companies as well as individuals can choose to support anything or anyone they choose.  But, when Democrats are obviously involved, this is NOT the case.  I will never support MUSLIMS for any reason at any time.  Their BELIEFS (Muslim faith) and PRACTICES (Adhering to the Koran) mirrors the same beliefs and practices of terrorists that OUR young people are fighting in the Middle East.
