For whom the bell tolls? These people: L.A. City Attorney Carmen Trutanich today announced that 19 occupiers have been charged with alleged failure to disperse following Wednesday morning's raid of the Occupy L.A. encampment at City Hall.

City Attorney's spokesman Frank Mateljan told the Weekly that this was just the "first batch" of defendants and that more people could face charges as prosecutors review the LAPD's recommendations through tomorrow.

About 290 people were arrested on suspicion of failing to disperse yesterday after ...

... the department declared an unlawful assembly in and around the City Hall south lawn, where Occupy L.A. had been camped out for about two months.

The defendants were named as:

Jose Tellez, Michael Rodriguez, Amanda Faye Mosqueda, Johnny Okane, Charles William Florenza, Lawrence Gregory Ziese, Reynaldo Crespo, Gilbert Ceballos, Jason Brodsky, Jason Rivera, Carl Casey, Anthony Diaz, Christopher Devcich, Moses Quiroz, Jane One Doe, Kayla Elizabeth Fields, Robert Jefferson Dietrich and John Two Doe (AKA Steve Leederman).

They were each charged with one count of failure to disperse after cops told demonstraters to take a hike from 1st Street and Broadway near City Hall (some folks had taken to the streets after the LAPD moved in).

Bail was set at $2,000 to $5,000.

One defendant got special treatment, according to Mateljan:

Tyson Header [sic; he spells it Heder], during the operation, spit on an Officer and resisted arrest. Defendant Header was charged with three counts: Battery on a Peace Officer, Assault on a Peace Officer, and Resisting Arrest.

Header happens to be the Occupy L.A. photographer tackled by LAPD officers during Wednesday night's raid -- and the whole thing was captured on video.

OJ Simpson--Occupy Los Angeles--and More..... I filed a lawsuit in downtown Los Angeles on November 9th, 2011Case # BC473185 related to The OJ Simpson Case and Saga, Occupy L.A.and More......On November 17th, 2011, there were media reports here in Los Angeles and on TV, on the radio, and on the Internet that there was going to be a hearing for aTemporary Restraining Order that was to be heard the next day regardingOccupy L.A. Here are a few links:http://www.dailynews.com/news/... http://www.hollywoodreporter.c... http://kabc.com/Article.asp?id... http://latimesblogs.latimes.co... there were Many, Many More Reports regarding this situation. As I watched on TV that evening I wondered to myself>>>Hmmmmm....Then, the next day the reports were that the "ACTIVIST" and Occupy L.A. DIDN'T SHOW UP.And then I really wondered, What the Heck??????? Here are a few links of MANY:http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/st... was ALL-OVER the Internet and in the media that the "ACTIVIST" didn't show-up.THEN, I find out a few days later that it was "ME" that didn't show-up>>>WTH????????And the ONLY news outlet that reported that it was me that didn't show-up was theHispanic newspaper here in los Angeles la Opinion. How in the world can La Opinion bethe only news outlet to report that it was "ME" thatt didn't show-up.Could it "Possiby" be that it had to do with my personal involvement in The OJ Simpson Caseand Saga and a "WHOLE LOT MORE"????????? I would think so.Here is the link and it is in Spanish:http://www.impre.com/laopinion... translated the article from Google and here it is in English: "A man of Reseda, identified like Mario G. Nitrini, asked for 9 of November the past a restriction order so that the Department of Police of Los Angeles (LAPD) does not evacuate the camping of Occupy in City the Hall without previous warning of 30 days.Nevertheless, the legal committee of said IT to Occupy that the measurement was taken by external people to the movement, without the consent of the general assembly.“One was an unilateral action”, commented Pam Noles, spokeswoman of Occupy. The Office of the judge advocate general of the City took care of citatorio yesterday that it emitted Department 86 of the Court Superior of the County of Los Angeles to give capacity to the promoted request, but the part plaintiff, Mario G. Nitrini, did not appear. In order to know what the request treated, lawyer Carol Sobel, like legal advisor of Occupy, appeared to the hearing, which could not be carried out.“Still we do not know in question”, said to Sobel yesterday in the morning when finishing the term for the hearing. The Court informed that it would be summoned to new date for case BC473185.The demand is against the city of Los Angeles and others, including the solicitor of the USA, Eric Holder, to officials of the LAPD and the Department of Justice, and specific as a case of organized delinquency or “racketeering”.Mario G. Nitrini, to that could not be located, is considered a regular critical of the LAPD.The Office of the judge advocate general of the City would be being against at your service solicitd because, according to it indicated spokesman Jenaro Bátiz, do not exist arguments valid that to impose a restriction to him to the city.On the other hand, Bátiz informed that only yesterday positions against two demonstrators stopped in one of thetwo marches of Thursday by resistance to the arrest appeared. The defendant are Adam Diaz, of 31 years, and one woman whom its name identified like Jane Doe did not give, of 21 years; who could face a year in prison and a fine of 1.000 dollars."WELL, there is ONE HUGE PROBLEM WITH THIS. I "DID NOT" file for this hearing. Someone(a man by the name of Chris "CR" Legal Sr.) said that they were me (False Impersonation) and was in an Illegal and Criminal Conspiracy with other Occupy Los Angeles people to ride the curtails of my lawsuit Case # BC473185, UNREAL AND UNBELIEVABLE.........An Attorney by the nameof Peter Thottam also contacted me regarding this matter. On November 28th, 2011 I decided to find out for sure what was going on in this matter. I went to theSuperior Courthouse Downtown and while I am standing in line waiting to get in, this Chris "CR" Legal Sr. leavesa voice mail message informing me that there is an Ex-Parte hearing the next day regarding Occupy LA andwhat was my availability, and more.......WTH??????? After leaving the courthouse and Department 86I went back to the Occupy LA Campsite and I spoke with several Occupy Los Angeles So-Called-Leaders and for sure they "DUMMIED-UP" and knew nothing..... Yea Right........That did it for me. I went to The City Attorney's office across the street from The Los Angeles City Halland I wanted to find out what the heck was going on. I finally got to speak with 2 ladies. I met withAssistant City Attorney Valerie Flores and Deputy City Attorney Juliann Anderson and they told me that thisChris "CR" Legal Sr. had come in to the City Attorney's office a few weeks ago saying he was me giving them a whole bunch of paperwork and that they were informed that they were notified about the Tempory Restraining Order hearing on November 18th, 2011. AND this Chris "CR" Legal Sr. isAFRICAN AMERICAN>>>>saying he was Me Mario Nitrini >>>>>>UNREAL......GOOD GRIEF.This Chris "CR" Legal Sr. from what he told me, was in the legal Committee of Occupy Los Angeles. And Ms. Anderson then tells me that this Chris "CR" Legal Sr. Guy came in and informed the City Attorney's officethat there was going to be this Ex-Parte hearing and again saying he was me. No one can make this stuff up.I'd really had it then. Ms. Anderson wanted me to sign a declaration and I said I would and Iwanted to file a Criminal Complaint against Chris "CR" Legal Sr. and other conspirators. I went acrossthe street and filed a criminal complaint with officer K. Study Badge # 25521. Then I took the the complaintback to Ms. Anderson, signed the declaration and gave her a copy of the Police Complaint. The next day LAPD Detective Brosnan ( Phone # 213-972-1228) calls me for more information regarding this.I have phone calls in for a return call from LAPD Detective Brosnan and L.A. Deputy City Attorney Ms. Juliann Anderson (Phone # 213-978-8124.) and I am hoping that they will follow-up with me.During the day on November 28th, 2011 I had a brief chance meeting with Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck.We both agreed on a truce with me and The LAPD and others, based on a Legally depending situation......It was a positive meeting. At this time, I am in a Neutral state (LEGALLY DEPENDING) regarding this statement I made:"Me, Mario George Nitrini 111 being the Plaintiff, filed a BIG-TIME lawsuit the other day, Case # BC473185, suing The City of Los Angeles, The Los Angeles Police Department, and MORE………pertaining to My personal involvement in The O.J. Simpson Case and Saga, the movement I am involved in—–Occupy Los Angeles— and MORE………In one of my statements, I state that Los Angeles Police Department:“Chief Charlie Beck knows knows plaintiff has knowledge of Chief Becks criminal corruption dealing with the real killers(s) of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, being members of his police force. See exhibits C and “D” attached hereto and incorporated herein. Additionally, plaintiff request judicial notice of The OJ Simpson Case and Saga.”Ex-LAPD Police Department Detective Mark Fuhrman is THE KILLER of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson. In my opinion he had help murdering these two people.NOW, I ( Mario Nitrini ) filed several of my Legal Documents pertaining to my personal Involvement in The O.J. Most Los Angelenos do not have much sympathy for any of the occupiers. The filthy mess they left behind them, living amongst their own feces and urine stored in plastic bags and bottles in their tents, showed how unrepresentative this group of malcontents are from mainstream America. That and their absurd statements to the press showed us who the occupiers really were; a bunch of losers and dropouts who have no idea at all of how to do anything except complain about the lack of entitlement programs and their resentment for the working population.

As much as a despise Mayor Vliiaraigosa and the spineless city council, it seems that they were 100% right to ignore City Attorney Carmen Trutanich's "legal advice" to evict the occupiers by force day one. To have done so without the very obviously well planned use of overwhelming force at a time when the occupiers were themselves demoralized and resigned to defeat, would have backfired and made heroes out of losers. Instead the city has to pick up the tab for tolerance and intelligence. I, as one of the 4M Los Angelenos, do not resent the 25 cents it will cost me to end occupy LA in a way we can be proud of.

So now let that puffed up buffoon Carmen the clown Trutanich bleat and bellyache about the costs of ending this thing peacefully, instead of ending it as he would have done, but brute force and ignorance. How much did the city pay out for the Mcarthur Park melee a few years ago when Trutanich-style "enforcement" was the way to get things done? I heard it was a hell of a lot more than the costs of this way LA showed the nation, and the world, that the days of brutal thugs like Trutanich, Gadaffi and Mubarak are over.

I think most Angelenos lack accurate information about the conditions in the camp. I think most Angelenos pre-judged the demonstrators and decided to pay more attention to the loons that the media kept focusing on, instead of paying attention to remarkably focused people who were consistently on-message.

I was not a resident, but I visited the camp, as have most of my immediate family. I was most impressed by the energy with which the Occupiers were willing to communicate their ideas for economic change, NONE of which involved any reference to "entitlement" programs.

They don't want to be given a free ride; they want to not be forced off the road.

There were no feces etc. left behind--we had chemical toilets, why on earth would that be true?!  The mayor gave that as an excuse while simultaneously complaining that the health department gave us no violations. I was the point person for the food tent and can personally attest that we used soap, water, sanitizer, etc. --both the people serving and the people eating-- and went through huge amounts of all of those things. We organized trips to shower at eachothers' apartments, do laundry, etc. We swept the sidewalks and organized committees to pick up trash, sort the recycling for people who didn't know to differenciate, and bleached our tables every couple of hours.  I had ZERO intention of being arrested, but was trapped on a sidewalk after being told to go there in order to not be arrested. I went peacefully, with my boyfriend waiting at the end of the block. I wanted to GO HOME to my apartment. You know what was UNSANITARY?!  The fact that we (15 women, 5 men) were left on the bus ziptied with our arms behind our backs for nearly 8 hours with no bathrooms, told by sheriffs to "just go on on the seats" when we begged to go to the bathroom, to have some water, to show us humanity. You know what was unsanitary?!  The fact that the very things the health dept. demanded--soap, sanitizer, paper towels--weren't available in the exposed toilets in the mass cells we were in.  One 18 year old was forgotten in a cell by herself with no toilet paper or soap, holding back tears of rage when she joined the rest of us.  Again, I followed orders to go to the sidewalk, I didn't intend to be arrested, and I sure as hell didn't intend to have WHATEVER creepy bug bites I got from the LA metro center men's blankets I slept on in the floor of the cell.  I am a VERY cleanly person.  So were most occupiers.  If the mayor REALLY cares about sanitation, why not take care of the filthy chemical toilets/sidewalks of skid row a couple of blocks away? Hmm

None of the occupiers "left behind" anything. They were forcibly evicted under cover of darkness by a city fearful of mostly twenty-somethings seeking economic and social justice. These occupiers were awaiting rulings in Federal court to multiple proceedings filed against the LAPD and the City of Los Angeles to prevent the paramilitary action against their peaceful protest to petition their government for a redress of grievances - rulings which had not yet been handed down when the City initiated its brutal attack. The City did not want to see those challenges heard by a judge, so stepped up their timetable for action because some in gov't - particularly corporatist stooges like Villaraigosa or his RAMPART Chief Charlie Beck - don't feel the law applies to them.
