R.i.p Chris despite of his record he was a good guy easily to get along with always engaged into conversations wether or not it concerned him. May god have mercy upon the deputy who shot Chris to death since he will always be haunted by this tragedy when Chris yelled, " don't shoot, don't shoot" another thing the media is leaving out is after he was shot down they approached him and he said once again " don't shoot I can't move". I was at the scene, I was arrested and released later on that night after they figured they couldn't detain me for I hadn't committed any violations. The sheriff dept of Lancaster, are covering their backs by bringing up his past, which is the reason why they moved to Lancaster. To the deputy who killed chris and who got transferred to another division: you know u fucked up, you knew it from the moment the chief arrived at the scene and no gun was found and he started chewing your ass up. At the end of the day ur nobody but a regular citizen who has the privilege to carry a badge and a gun. Mercy be upon you. Word of advice; don't die in the line of duty, for karma is a bitch and could turn around and bite u in the ass. "Live by the gun, die by the gun"

Christian's family moved to Lancaster precisely to overcome the difficulties back in Inglewood and start a new, peaceful life. The rule of law and honest, law enforcement should be supported. However, Christian's past was no justification to KILL him; those charges against him referenced by the LA Sheriff's department only prove Christian had an unsettled account with the law, but not one punishable by DEATH. Instead, previous indictments are rhetorically mentioned in a non-sequitur, as if one thing justified the other--provided the officers even had Christian's identity positively verified and his history in mind during the chase. The only jarring precedence and history visible here is of excessive force on the part of the LA Sheriff's Dept, whose actions evince undeniable bias against the helpless and whose words and testimony betray deeply rooted callousness and corruption. Juxtapose this incident with the many others like it--such as the recent Anaheim, CA killings and police attacks--and the true, crime copycats, hiding behind a badge and barrages of bullets, are revealed.

You was so kind..He would always come to the house and ask for advice from me and my husband..he actually came on Friday and talked to my husband about turning himself in but the cops didn't even give him that chance cuz he got killed the next day...yes people make mistakes but he was trying hard to do good...and just because a person has a drug warrant that don't give them the right to kill someone.. I hate how they try to make him look so bad and how the sheriff station is saying that if they would of arrested him he would of had "no bail" what does that have to do with the murder??? R.i.P Christian Cobian gone forever but never forgotten.!!I go through grief as well ....Christian was a REAL nice guy and i say this because we when out for 2 years! Nobody said he was innocent or perfect because we are human and we all make mistakes. Matter of the fact is... he didnt have to die this way....He had alot to accomplish in life.& for those who are talking all this shit...u aint got any right to, because if you were in this position u wouldnt want to hear all this negtive crap while going threw all of this.. my heart goes out to his family..i feel the same way! My 52 year old son is still my little boy and will be until I die. You obviously do not have any grown children. It is a parent thing. That does not justify Christians actions, however, riddling him with bullets does sound a bit extreme. I normally fire 2 and sometimes 3 rounds. How many officers were firing? Of course, Christian is not around to tell his side of the story, it sounds like the officers may have made sure of that.

Maybe you didn't bother to read the article but they didn't mention anything about him having ever hurt or murder anyone. You shouldn't be so insensitive to his death because you didn't know him. I feel bad for his family's loss, I really do, and no one deserves to die, but if he was so innocent and such a good kid (from what I'm reading), then why was he running from the police? Maybe because he continued to break the law? The family was destroyed because of his own actions. He's now with the angels and in a better place. May he have peace. <<<<<[Captain Mike] Parker described Cobian as "an Inglewood gang member who had recently moved to Lancaster'' and who was named in a felony narcotics warrant out of Inglewood stipulating he was to be held without bail when arrested."

I just wish the rest of you could understand what its like... Wanna know why he ran? Just put yourself in his shoes. I cant even begin to tell you how degrading it is to be pulled over three times a day, and be dragged to the station once a week because they have "reason to suspect" you of some crazy accusation. Its a horrible feeling, most of you could never understand. And we dont get picked on by the police because we are gang members (which me and Christian are not), we get picked on because we are easy targets: poor and Hispanic. The police harass us simply because they can, we are at the bottom of society so nobody seems to be concerned about how we are treated. The murder of a human being should be mourned, when did society become so cruel? How dare you people question this young mans character? Why wouldn't someone say, "another gangbanger off the streets" if the victim was a white college student? White college students cant be gangbangers? There's gangbangers in any race, and truly, no matter what color they may be, I still find it all nonsense. Who's to say I'm "white"? I'm actually of Spanish heritage, and live in the same community of Lancaster. We have so many problems here concerning all sorts of gangs; Mexican, Black, White Power, Asian, Armenian. I dont feel bad if someone gets stopped because they "appear" to a gang banger. Anyone out roaming the street in the middle of the night would be suspicous. There's a never ending battle with drugs in these communities. But these cops are just doing their job of getting criminals off the streets. Would you like it if they just left everyone alone, and then have a bunch of criminals roaming neighborhoods? My husband was out one night walking to the corner store (we did not have a car then) to get some cold medicine for one of our children, and was jumped by a group of guys and robbed. Obviously, these guys were hanging around the streets looking for victims and obviously have done this before. Maybe this could have been prevented if the area had been patrolled and they had been questioned?

Christian had a felony narcotics warrant. So that tells me that either a) he's a drug addict b) he's a drug dealer or c) both. I dont care who you are, or what color you are, but if you are out on the streets in the middle of the night, you should be stopped. The cops have every right to question and try to make the community safer.It is very unforunate that this kid had to die this way. God bless him and his family.
