Francisco Rodriguez, El Camino Soccer Player, Fatally Gunned Down When Girl Comes to His Door Following Game
Francisco Rodriguez, a 17-year-old soccer player for El Camino Real Charter High School who had just come home from a game, was gunned down last night after a girl came to the door of his residence and he went outside at her behest, according to cops and reports.

Initial accounts indicated a female suspect actually pulled the trigger, but Officer Karen Rayner told the Los Angeles Times that detectives are "kind of backing away from that."
It is possible, however, that a girl got the boy out of his Winnetka home:
Neighbor Jesse Meza told ABC7 that the boy's mother said a girl had come asking for Rodriguez, who was ID'd by the station:
She said it was a girl, it was a girl who came to the door. And he came out, he wasn't even wearing shoes he was wearing socks. He must've went up to the car, they shot him, and he turned around and took steps toward his house, and he landed right on this front yard.
The shooting was reported at 6:10 p.m. yesterday in the 6900 block of Cozycroft Avenue, police said.
The boy was shot multiple times, police said. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
Rodriguez was the goalkeeper in the El Camino Conquistadors' 0-0 tie with Taft, a game that ended at 5:15 p.m., less than an hour before the shooting, coach Ian Kogan told KCAL9.
Meza described said of the teen:
Everyone here loves him dearly, he was just like family.

Initial reports indicated that the girl fled in a green SUV.
