Disneyland Pepper Spray Video Shows Glenn L. Horlacher Allegedly Punch, Kick Security

[Added at 11:23 a.m. Monday]: It happened outside the Tower of Terror ride at Disney's California Adventure park adjacent to Disneyland.

California's pepper spray zeitgeist continued well into 2012 as Disneyland guest Glenn L. Horlacher, 53, was given a good dousing of the spicy tearjerker in a fight with what seemed to be an older security guard at the Anaheim theme park. And it was all caught on video (posted below with NSFW profanity).

The security guard appeared to be mostly alone for much of three minutes in a mano-a-mano confrontation with a park guest who seemed to have punched and kicked him.

Bystanders yelled at Horlacher as he ...

... uttered epithets at the family friendly park.

"There are kids here," one woman is heard saying. "You're at Disneyland!"

But the 50-something wasn't going down easy. After apparently punching the security guard he went down and got a face full of pepper spray. But that didn't stop him from throwing a kick.

He got back up and went at the employee a second time as park pages appeared to stand by and keep onlookers back.

Witnesses wondered aloud where the guard's backup was (and extra security didn't appear to show up at all during the 4-minute video).

Horlacher went at the guard again, grabbing his leg as both went down this time. As the guard and the man got into it on the ground, at least two park guests intervened and held the suspect down as he screamed and moaned.

A gaggle of hipsters and slackers, at least one with a plastic cup of beer in hand, provided the commentary. "I think this guy's been drinking vodka," one man says.

It all happened Saturday just after 3:30 p.m., according to CBS Los Angeles: A Disneyland spokeswoman said the guard had to be treated at a hospital but has been released.

Horlacher was booked by Anaheim police, but it wasn't clear what exact alleged violation(s) he was arrested for, according to the station. (We could find no record of Horlacher in the Orange County Sheriff's inmate information database).

The happiest place on earth just got brutal, geezer-style. Or, as one bystander put it, "That was epic."

I admire what you have done here. I love the part where you say you are doing this to give back but I would assume by all the comments that is working for you as well. Do you have any more info on this?

That old man just earned himself a lifetime ban from Mickey Mouse's Playhouse.

".. uttered epithets at the family friendly park. "There are kids here," one woman is heard saying. "You're at Disneyland!""

But she seemed to have no problem with other people near the camera droping the F bomb in front of the kids...

Disappointed that the screaming woman didn't also get maced, if only for screaming, "YOU'RE AT DISNEYLAND!"

I know where all the security guards were, At the front gate looking into backpacks and women's purses for contraband. Was this Michael"s (CEO) way of promoting his new Disney     movie "Roadhouse 2" .Please duck tape the women sceaming . Thanks I'm done venting.

In my opinion, the guy was standing there wiping his eyes and the confrontation appeared to be over when the security guard walked over and sprayed him again. He inflamed a situation that was beginning to calm down.

Not fully. He refused the order to stay on the ground.

He is not a cop he is a security guard. His mission is to control the situation not to restrain people on the ground. His stubborness to restrain the drunk person on the ground made things worst. When dealing with a drunk try to calm him down don't agitate him.

I'm a tactics instructor. The security guy had no clue about use of force options. Security guy should have been able to de-escalte (until help arrived) or take the man down without spraying him. Being sprayed with OC induces panic in those sprayed. The back up was non exsistant. Disney needs to re-evaluate it's security operations/response times. What if it had been terrorism? The crowd holding the guy down could have resulted in death by positional asphyxia. In general, you NEVER want to put pressure on the chest of a person sprayed by an inflammatory agent. Those helping could have been charged with manslaughter if he would have died (being in litigious Ca).

I think that the man that was being peppered srayed may have deserved what he had gotten, but for the people standing around there laughing at the situation didnt help matters at all. I also think it was excessive to spray that much into another persons eyes, and besides for a park of that calibur should have had more security available close by or better communication to get the situation under control. So I boo that park security, you sir have done a terrible job at controling the situation.

If I was there @ D-land watching this shit play out, i would've been like, OK this dude is fucked up and let's watch it play out for a bit for the lulz. But after a certain point, put that fool in check. Cuz like that lady said, "THIS IS DISNEYLAND! THERE ARE KIDS HERE!" True.

I have to say...very dissapointed in Disney Security. The one guard was on film for around 4 minutes ALONE with no backup. This was way too long to have noone back this guy up. Then, Guests had to tackle this drunk guy down????? Guests????? Disney prides itself in being the best of the best in Guest Safety and Security...a 4 minute response time is horrible..There should have been 10 guys backing this guard up...not guests... I hope Disney looks at this train wreck and evaluates their operation...

I totally agree. I work as a security supervisor for the Giants we usually work in pairs and respond very quickly. I'm 100% sure if this type of incident was to happen at out ball park I would have had at least 6 guards with in 2 minutes backing me up.  Our attendance is 45,000 and we have 17 police officers and over 70 security guards working every event.  Disney needs to beef up there security.

How is this video even 4 minutes long! It took Disneyland's security THAT long to take care of this mess? How sad.

Its a good thing that those good Samaritans jumped in to help security so that those complete d0uche-bags that were filming this could continue to and get their video to post on the web and stand back and do nothing but be indignant at how this fool was ruining their Disneyland experience. (It case you didn't get it, I'm being sarcastic.)

Unless there's a GREAT reason why this guy took swings at the security that was available there, this man should've been kneed in the face until he was dead.

THERE ARE KIDS HERE!!! So take your spoiled, snotty kids away from this clown instead of standing there trying to yell and reason with a drunk. Stupid annoying lady.

Big props to the DL park guests who non-violently intervened and restrained this clown.  If it wasn't for them, who knows how things would have gone.  It's not like backup was there to put a swift end to this.

I'm pretty sure the 60+ year old Disneyland guard could have taken you down in 20-seconds with no backup. Internet tough guys like you are all talk.
