[Added at 11:23 a.m. Monday]: It happened outside the Tower of Terror ride at Disney's California Adventure park adjacent to Disneyland.

California's pepper spray zeitgeist continued well into 2012 as Disneyland guest Glenn L. Horlacher, 53, was given a good dousing of the spicy tearjerker in a fight with what seemed to be an older security guard at the Anaheim theme park. And it was all caught on video (posted below with NSFW profanity).

The security guard appeared to be mostly alone for much of three minutes in a mano-a-mano confrontation with a park guest who seemed to have punched and kicked him.

Bystanders yelled at Horlacher as he ...

... uttered epithets at the family friendly park.

"There are kids here," one woman is heard saying. "You're at Disneyland!"

But the 50-something wasn't going down easy. After apparently punching the security guard he went down and got a face full of pepper spray. But that didn't stop him from throwing a kick.

He got back up and went at the employee a second time as park pages appeared to stand by and keep onlookers back.

Witnesses wondered aloud where the guard's backup was (and extra security didn't appear to show up at all during the 4-minute video).

Horlacher went at the guard again, grabbing his leg as both went down this time. As the guard and the man got into it on the ground, at least two park guests intervened and held the suspect down as he screamed and moaned.

A gaggle of hipsters and slackers, at least one with a plastic cup of beer in hand, provided the commentary. "I think this guy's been drinking vodka," one man says.

It all happened Saturday just after 3:30 p.m., according to CBS Los Angeles: A Disneyland spokeswoman said the guard had to be treated at a hospital but has been released.

Horlacher was booked by Anaheim police, but it wasn't clear what exact alleged violation(s) he was arrested for, according to the station. (We could find no record of Horlacher in the Orange County Sheriff's inmate information database).

The happiest place on earth just got brutal, geezer-style. Or, as one bystander put it, "That was epic."
