Porn Video Shoots Leaving L.A. for ... Arizona?

Porn posing.
The porn industry is pissed off over L.A.'s new rule requiring condom use at adult location filming inside the city.

So much so that it has threatened repeatedly to move its multibillion-dollar operations outside Los Angeles and even California. So far it's been all talk.

But one porn star says there's a serious movement afoot to slide on over to ...

... Arizona.

Yeah, the home of anti-immigrant politics, controversial sheriff Joe Arpaio, and fellow lawman Paul Babeu, a staunch conservative who was recently outed as gay.

Sounds like hostile territory for the smut biz if you ask us.

According to me LA done a good job to use the condoms in a porn shooting. Condoms gives the best security to the users against the different sex problems. So the porn star doing the safe sex with its partner in the porn video.

Republicans are against contraceptives right?

Yeah right.  Arizona won't allow that industry to move there.  The state is R-E-D.  Porn producers, you know you're staying in L.A. so stop the bitching and whining.

While it’s true that only one other state, New Hampshire, has a court ruling that, like Miller v. California, specifically finds that adult film shoots can't be prosecuted under pondering laws, it’s also true that the issue hasn’t come before many state courts. Furthermore, many courts around the country have, while ruling on other issues, used the same or very similar legal reasoning as the court in Miller v. California. The Miller ruling didn’t appear magically — it was part of a continuum of rulings, reflecting a view that has taken hold in many jurisdictions. The reality is that hardcore adult content between consenting adults is being filmed or performed for broadcast every day in private locations all across this country -- including Arizona. No law, such as the unconstitutional and unenforceable ordinance that the pro-censorship AIDS Healthcare Foundation just pushed through the LA City Council, will ever stop that.

With today's Republican party, there is no way that the porn industry is going to be headquartered outside of L.A.  The industry is considered sinful comprised of depraved people and it won't be allowed, especially in a red state like Arizona.  The only reason porn producers have gotten away with shooting in many locales outside California is the fact that they don't apply for filming permits like they need to do in L.A. County.  That will change once word gets out the industry is moving elsewhere.  You will see so many laws preventing porn shoots, that the industry will have no choice but to remain in California.

No, it won't change because those states won't seek to enforce unconstitutional laws like those because they don't want to see a court case like CA's Freeman case -- if they challenge the right of pornographers to shoot and then lose the case (which they would, since the line of reasoning used in Freeman is part of a continuum of case law which has taken hold across the country), the floodgates will really be opened.

It's a Catch-22 for states and municipalities, but for the adult industry it's business as usual.

That's not very bad news. However it might concern the California state about low revenues.

guys who watch porn don't want to pay money to see dudes nuttin' in a condom, they can get that ish on cable. The porn industry should have taken more steps to protect itself (hired more lobbyists in Sacramento) but the people have spoken. Go to AZ and get ur money shots on!

The porn industry should just do all their "business" in the Antelope Valley (Palmdale, California). It's only 30 mins outside the "zone", its natural lighting is the best, and its just outside the city of LA. Which I see that to be a good way to thumb their nose at the city of Asses... ooops!, I mean Angels! tee hee, I'm sorry. I'll be good. ;-)

Government is a whore, no matter how much she promises to change or how hard you wish for it she will never have virtue. She will always be a whore and her agents will always be thieving pimps.
