Fishing Boat With 20 Illegals Lands in El Segundo
Unfortunately for this group of 20 suspected illegals, likely from Mexico, their boat came ashore along a wide-open stretch of beach in El Segundo. You could see them for miles around, and soon the authorities were swarming like white boys on fish tacos.
Today's unfortunate and allegedly illegal entry happened ...
... about 6:45 a.m. in El Segundo, according to a statement sent to us by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The fishing boat contained 20 people who were promptly turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol by El Segundo police, according to ICE.
The agency noted that boating into America was the new fence-jumping, and offered these stats for maritime landings by suspected undocumenteds:
San Diego County - 36 events
Orange County - 8 events
Los Angeles County - 8 events
Ventura County - 5 events
Santa Barbara County - 3 events
This is for 2012 alone. Yeah.
Like we said. Aim for Venice. Or bring a wetsuit and board and act like you just killed it, brah. You'll fit right in.
