Marijuana, Hard Drug Decriminalization Supported by ... Red Cross?

Categories: Marijuana

We've seen some strange bedfellows get under the sheets with the marijuana decriminalization movement, including preacher Pat Robertson and a group of law enforcement officials.

Now it appears that the International Federation of Red Cross is on that bandwagon.

In a recent statement to the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs ...

... the Red Cross said that criminalizing users of cannabis and other drugs has really done society no good. Not just in L.A., the pot shop capital of the nation, but across the globe.

In stated:

... The best people who use drugs can hope for is to be driven underground to live with the addiction in the dark back streets and abandoned buildings of our towns and cities. Or even worse, they are criminalized and jailed with little or no regard for their healthcare rights or the impact of this policy on the health of their communities.

The Red Cross concluded:

Laws and prosecutions do not stop people from taking drugs.

Damn. Truth hurts.

the law concerning hemp is mainly economic, the oily boys dont want you to know that you can make a clean burning fuel out of it, the pharmacutical industry want you to stay on their uppers downers & all arounders, it is in fact the greatest story NEVER told that in fact this planet was meant to be powered by a great green sail, with its crew enjoying all pf the benefits of a herb thats been with us since the start

Ogseedco, Did you actually read the statement.  Maybe you missed this part:"Treating drug addicts as criminals, is destined to fuel the rise of HIV and other infections not only among those unfortunate enough to have a serious drug addiction, but also for children born into addicted families and ordinary members of the public who are not normally exposed to HIV risks. Injecting drug use is a health issue. It is an issue of human rights. It cannot be condoned, but neither should it be criminalized."

It is hardly out of context.

Sovereign Rights, It's our God's temple.. there is no one higher than He within, to tell us what we can put into our own God's temple.  'No Law can be created to hinder a person's religious exercise nor their pursuit of happiness, yet Cannabis which is far less harmful then even Alcohol or tobacco (Legal Corporately worshiped lethal Drugs) and which hasn't harmed anyone is being used to 'Criminalize' our people, which is a far worse 'harm' then the plants nutrients, medicinals and the spiritual therapy which it actually draws upon those who use it, with thankfulness unto God.

How do you figure?  The statement clearly says "It is an issue of human rights. It cannot be condoned, but neither should it be criminalized."  How do you call that not endorsing decriminalization?
