Rush Limbaugh's Appearances on KFI in L.A. Targeted by Local Media Group That Wants Him Suspended
KFI 640 AM, the radio station criticized by some minority groups after its "John & Ken" called the late Whitney Houston a "crack ho" on air is under fire again:

The outlet happens to be the local home of nationally syndicated talker Rush Limbaugh, who apologized recently after calling law student Sandra Fluke a slut because she publicly supported government subsidized contraception.

... KFI's parent corporation, Clear Channel, to suspend Limbaugh.
In a statement sent to us over the weekend, the L.A.-based group said it also wants Clear Channel to "develop, define, and put into place clear policy and procedures that draws the line for their talk show hosts and programming directors ... "
The coalition noted that when local hosts John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou called Houston a "crack ho," station management acknowledged that they had "crossed the line."
The group thinks that the same could be said for Limbaugh, who called Fluke a "slut" and a "prostitute."
Following John & Ken's remark the station vowed to conduct diversity training and to focus on programming that would appeal to a wider audience.
Still, the black coalition says that, in light of the two incidents, "a more aggressive approach must now be deployed" against Clear Channel and KFI.
It even threatened to file a complaint with the FCC and challenge KFI's federal broadcasting license, which is up for review in December of 2013.
