Samantha Scarano Arrested For Allegedly Setting Fire to Ex-Roommate's West Hollywood Apartment
The woman alleged to have started a fire in the apartment of her ex-roommate in West Hollywood this month was nabbed by cops this week, sheriff's officials announced today.

They ID'd her as 25-year-old Samantha Scarano, who was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, according to an L.A. County Sheriff's statement.
She was being held in lieu of $1.25 million bail.

... was apprehend yesterday after Sheriff's deputies received word she was in the area ... the suspect wanted for the March 4th arson was at a business in the area. Deputies responded to that location and arrested the suspect without incident.
Detectives say she set fire to her ex-roommates home in the 1400 Block of North Sweetzer Avenue in West Hollywood on Sunday, March 4 shortly before 2 a.m.
According to a sheriff's statement that day:
After breaking a front window, the suspect threw an open container of charcoal lighter fluid along with a burning object, possibly paper into the victim's living room. The victim was able to exit the location and positively identify the suspect as her ex-room mate.
Flames actually burned two apartment units, and the fire was responsible for subsequent water damage to as many as three others, putting several residents on the street, officials said at the time.
Damage was estimated at $300,000.
