Henry Marin's Burrito Really Did Contain Heroin, Former L.A. Deputy Admits Today
The sheriff's deputy accused of smuggling a heroin-stuffed burrito into a courthouse lockup admitted today that he did it.

Henry Marin, 27, pleaded no contest to bringing the most relaxing, tortilla-based foodstuff ever to jail, according to the L.A. County District Attorney's office.
The exact counts against Marin include:
... bringing drugs into jail and conspiracy to commit a crime, according to a D.A.'s statement.
His "open" plea means that both sides in the case will be able to make arguments for and against a strict sentence:
Prosecutors said he did it from Jan. 27 to Feb. 23 of 2010 while assigned to the LAX courthouse. A grand jury indicted him.
Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told the Weekly that the burrito was destined for an inmate.
Does one eat, inject or smoke such a burrito? Did it come with hot sauce? Maybe that was Marin's mistake: A burrito with no side of salsa would surely raise eyebrows.
The defendant, needless to say, is no longer a sheriff's deputy.
