It's The Hottest Year Ever, America
And it's not just an Inland Empire thing either.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said recently that the U.S. of A has recorded its hottest 12 months ... ever:
NOAA says that, up to April, America has experienced ...
... the warmest year-to-date and 12-month periods since recordkeeping began in 1895.
Global warming? Heresy, says the Tea Party. Sure, it could just be an anomaly. A real hot anomaly.
The NOAA says we just experienced the hottest April on record, the hottest March on record and the hottest calendar year on record so far. Globally, it was the fifth warmest April ever, according to the administration.
What happened to the traditionally cool La Nina we were supposed to get this winter? The NOAA says it ...
... dissipated and transitioned to neutral conditions during April as sea surface temperatures continued to warm across the equatorial Pacific Ocean.
Good for surfers. Bad for really white people.
Strangely, it was the East Coast that really experienced this bump in temperature, according to the administration:
Twenty-six states, all east of the Rockies, were record warm for the four-month period and an additional 17 states had temperatures for the period among their ten warmest.
Ready for summer?
