flockwood UCLA at night.
It's been a bad academic year for creepy crimes at UCLA. Authorities have had to deal with at least three sexual assaults on campus.
And now comes this:
A burglar entered two dorm rooms at the Westwood school over the weekend. In one case, he took cash, according to ...
... the UCLA Daily Bruin:
It happened Sunday about 4 a.m. in the De Neve Fir (map) dorms.
According to CBS Los Angeles, a female student awoke to find the man in her room: He fled with $20 that was left on a desk, the Bruin stated.
The station reported that the room was left open temporarily by a roommate who deployed a deadbolt that kept the door from being closed shut so she could return without using a key.
He was apparently spotted in another room in the dorm on the same floor about the same time.
The student paper described the bad guy as ...
... dark-skinned with black hair, wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans. In the second case, the man is described as dark-skinned with a medium build, wearing a green shirt and jeans ...

[Update at 4:28 p.m.]: UCLA police say 41-year-old Timothy Bell was arrested at 12:16 a.m. today after a community service officer spotted him in the stairwell of another residence hall.
UCPD Det. Andy Ikeda said the guy was on parole for burglary and that, as a condition of his freedom, was supposed to be staying away from college campuses.
He was jailed and was expected in court Monday.
