Google just unveiled 3D maps that let you virtually fly over Los Angeles and Long Beach.

The cool visuals, however, aren't available for iPhone and iPad users yet; they're only good for Google's own Android system for now.

According to the company, L.A. and Long Beach are among 15 American cities to be included into today's roll out of 3D maps for the Android Google Earth app. A video shows you what it looks like:

According to a Google statement, the cool kids with iPhones will be able to get the feature "soon:"

These new 3D cityscapes are automatically created - complete with buildings, terrain and even landscaping - based on 45-degree aerial imagery. The new 3D imagery of entire metropolitan regions, as well as guided tours of thousands of famous landmarks and historical sites across the globe, will be available on Google Earth for Android today and for iOS soon.

Other 3D-ized cities include Boulder, Boston, Santa Cruz, San Diego, San Antonio, Charlotte, Tucson, Lawrence, Portland, Tampa, Rome or the San Francisco Bay Area (including the Peninsula and East Bay).

Cool, but will it allow you to hover over your ex-girfriend's house and keep tabs on her? Not yet, creepers.
