Tommy Chong's Prostate Cancer Getting the Marijuana Treatment

America's stoner-in-chief, Tommy Chong, announced over the weekend that he has prostate cancer -- and that he believes the disease took hold when he was in federal prison 8 years ago for distributing his namesake bongs to a conservative state.

The longtime Angeleno and father of actress Rae Dawn Chong says that ... wait for it ... wait for it ... he's using marijuana as medicine to treat his cancer symptoms.

Well, more specifically, he tweeted:

Chong told CNN, of course, that legalizing it would help people like him and thus would mean "a lot more to me than just being able to smoke a joint without being arrested."

He says he was drug free in prison and for three years total. Thus:

... I know it [the cancer] had nothing to do with cannabis. Cannabis is a cure.

Weed will get you in trouble. And it could get you out of it. Circle of life.

Oh, please! It's a cropped B/W photo. Black & white photos always tend to show more wrinkles and lines on people than do color photos.

I think anyone dealing with current issues like this is also looking for ways to handle their future, finances, and even retirement in successful ways. One interesting story I found today that talked about this issue is an intriguing write-up about a wealthy boss that decided to do something different with his career. He left Newmont Mining, a $6.5B company, to join a tiny mining company.  Very inspiring story that dovetails many of the themes here, I figured you might like it: http://www.trefis.com/stock/fnv/articles/125627/why-a-billion-dollar-executive-is-risking-his-career-on-an-abandoned-mine-in-nevada/2012-06-11
