Corey Plank Arrested in Marijuana Dispensary Bust on Ventura Boulevard

Running a marijuana dispensary is like walking a tight rope these days. While the feds are cracking down, the L.A. City Council is poised to ban all pot shops in town, and a California court recently upheld the right of dispensaries to exist.

What to do? Try to keep it clean.

The LAPD says a Woodland Hills dispensary wasn't playing by the rules, and yesterday the place was raided. Cops say they found more than just pot in their searches of the business and a connected residence:

Cops said in a statement released today that the 2 p.m. raids Wednesday on the pot shop in the 21600 block of Ventura Boulevard and a connected home in the 7700 block of Tampa Avenue turned up not only 22 pounds of pot (which would be expected, no?) but also 120 Oxycodone pills and "a large quantity of ... steroids."

Arrested was one Corey Plank, 31, who was booked on suspicion of possession of weed for sale, the LAPD said. He was being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.

Plank's Facebook page says he's a manager at Ashmoon Caregivers, 21610 Ventura Blvd.

Three other "suspects" are wanted and have arrest warrants hanging over their heads, according to the department.

The LAPD says:

The warrants were obtained after an extensive investigation into the illegal sales of marijuana from the dispensary on Ventura Boulevard.

Cops have been on a tear against dispensaries in the West Valley, declaring that any form of retail cannabis sales is illegal and could lead to a collective being shut down.

Anyone with more info on the above case was asked to call detectives at 818-756-4850.

He was arrested for being stupid.  If he had Oxycodone, he was asking for trouble.

If he had Oxycodone, then why was he busted for Pot?  That's like arresting a mugger because he jaywalked in fleeing the scene of the robbery, but not arresting him for the mugging.

Or were the cops running low on Oxycodone and didn't want to book it in evidence?  With Riordan out to destroy the city pensions, it's every city employee for him/herself!

Cory Plank, the face of the medical marijuana caregiver.  Time to call this law what it is: a fraudulent attempt to legalize weed. It has nothing to do with providing succor to the gravely ill.  Check out the next pro medicinal use gathering.  Nothing but otherwise healthy stoners and the people who want to make a buck off the trade.

"Booked on suspicion of possession of weed for sale?" "Any form of retail cannabis sales is illegal?" Okay, that's some mighty fine-looking buddage in that there photo...
