DUI Crackdown For Late Summer Includes Hollywood Checkpoint Tonight
We're not sure why the end of summer is DUI crackdown season, what with all the other wonderful times of year to find drunktards on the road -- St. Patrick's Day, Cinco De Mayo, New Year's Eve, at. al.![]()

It just is.
We've got a boatload of info for you in our latest edition of LA Weekly's DUI checkpoint and drunk patrol cheat sheet. The action starts tonight:
-Tonight there will be a DUI checkpoint from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Sunset Boulevard between El Centro Avenue and Argyle Avenue in Hollywood (right near the Palladium).
-Tonight (again!) there will be a checkpoint from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Figueroa Street at Ninth Street downtown (near LA Live).
-Tonight (again, again!) there will be a sheriff's checkpoint from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. somewhere in the city of Norwalk (they're not saying exactly where).
-And, finally, the L.A. County Sheriff's Department is spearheading a late-summer drunktard roundup as part of what it calls a "summer/Labor Day national anti-DUI crackdown."
