Next time you stab your girlfriend (and we really recommend you try not to do that), remember that the iPhone is a virtual GPS-tracking device.

That thought, apparently, didn't enter the head of one Juan Juarez-Castro, 33, who was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence early today after he was tracked via a Find My iPhone app, according to the LAPD.

Oops? Police told the Weekly it went down like this:

Officers went to a residence in West L.A. before 1 a.m. yesterday to investigate a report of domestic violence, according to Officer Karen Rayner.

The suspect was gone, but an iPhone account helped cops track him to Pasadena about 5:35 a.m.

The victim was stabbed and hospitalized but survived, Rayner said. In fact she was released yesterday.

Juarez-Castro was not so lucky, getting a $150,000 bail amount.

City News Service reported that the suspect allegedly stole the iPhone from his victim. So that would be a double burn there.
