Endeavour's Road Trip to California Science Center Expected to Draw Masses to L.A. Streets
You thought Endeavor fever was over once the retired space shuttle hit the ground at LAX following its amazing flyover last month.

You're wrong. The fever has only begun.
Because L.A. will get an even closer look at the shuttle next week. That's way cool, except that the cops are worried too many of you might show up and create a mob scene. Really:
The LAPD issued a statement asking the public -- that's you -- to stick to the scheduled viewing areas when the Endeavour makes its trip from LAX to the California Science Center in Exposition Park starting at 2 a.m. Oct. 12.
Police fear that "extremely large crowds" will come out to watch the shuttle's road trip.
The journey will last through the next day and will comprise "one of the largest objects ever to be transported over city streets in Los Angeles," says the department.

Traffic lights will be moved, lamp posts will come down and, notoriously, 370 trees will lose their lives in the process.
Cops want you to stick to the free Endeavor exhibit opening Oct. 30 at the Science Center.
But if you must come out and watch this massive thing roll down the street, the LAPD suggests these official viewing locations on Saturday:
Should you choose to view Endeavour along the route, the best viewing locations will be during the planned celebrations at Inglewood's Forum parking lot, or at the intersection of Crenshaw Blvd. and Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza. Additionally, the public can view Endeavour during an extended transition period at Bill Robertson Lane at Exposition Park. Times and details of these planned viewing events will be released closer to Endeavour's move.
There you go. There's plenty of Endeavour to go around.
