Los Angeles Traffic Is Still The Worst In The Nation
If the space shuttle Endeavour's trip from LAX to Exposition Park seems slow going this afternoon, that's just another day on the streets of L.A.

The latest TomTom quarterly report on traffic congestion, Los Angeles is maintaining its top-dog status in the nation.
Issued this week, the study says L.A. drivers spend 33 percent more time on the road than the average U.S. motorist:
In fact Angelenos spend an average of 38 more minutes per hour on the road at peak drive times, says the latest TomTom report.

On average, journey times in Los Angeles are 33% longer than when traffic in the city is flowing freely and 74% longer during evening rush hour.
And -- oh boy -- if you have just a half-hour commute in L.A. you're still probably losing 89 hours a year of your life to congestion, according to TomTom.
Thursday is L.A.'s worst traffic day, a TomTom spokeswoman told us.
The company analyzed driver data from 26 cities. Here's your top ten, with above-average congestion levels:
