Updated at 4:24 p.m: Cops say they got him. More at the bottom. Headline has changed. First posted at 9:01 a.m.

Cops in Hawthorne today were searching for a winner they said raped a woman after taking her to a local CVS drug store to buy alcohol.

Hawthorne police say the suspect met the victim through an online dating site and went with her to the store before taking her to an apartment nearby, where he allegedly raped her.

Imagery of the man they're looking for was captured on the retailer's security video system:

Cops say the suspect took her to the CVS at 4775 W. Rosecrans Ave. sometime on November 4 and then headed to his place "3 to 4 minutes" away.

That's where, they say, forcible rape took place.

Hawthorne police say the suspect, who had a southern accent and called himself Cardon, was driving 2010 or 2011 silver, four-door Jeep Commander.

The apartment was a tan, 10- to 12-unit number with a open-air parking at the center, cops say.

The suspect was described as a mid-20s African American man who measures about 6 feet, 1 inch, has a large nose, and sports a thin, muscular build, according to authorities.

The victim, who was not identified, said he told her that he had moved to the area from Atlanta in June.
