A drunk guy who wandered into a Hollywood Hills neighborhood to get a nice view of the city overnight ended up with a view of a hospital room instead.

In a story for the annals of Don't Try This At Home, Kids, the 25-year-old became impaled on a wrought iron fence after he scaled the wall of a home, authorities said.

Worst hangover ever?

L.A. Fire Department paramedics were dispatched to 1236 N Sierra Alta Way at 12:14 a.m. today based on a report of an impaled man, reported the LAFD's Cecil Manresa.

The dude's "upper leg" was skewered, according to the department, and he was pulled off and hospitalized in stable condition.

Police told us it appeared the guy had been drinking and was trying to take in the view.

City News Service reported this:

Firefighters cut off a section of the fence, which sat atop a masonry wall near the entry gate of the property, and transported the man with the piece of wrought iron still attached to his leg

Eek.

An LAPD Hollywood sergeant was not in the least bit surprised. He told the Weekly:

It's not unusual for Hollywood.

It's not unusual for Hollywood, that's right.

Yet another example of how cannabis is less harmful than alcohol.   You don't see cannabis users doing dumb stuff like that....
