The shooting "appeared to be a work-related dispute," according to Eisenman. It wasn't clear if the attack happened on an upper floor or on street level.

Traffic was tied up in the area and television news helicopters were buzzing over the scene.

[Update at 2:22 p.m. Friday]: In a statement released this afternoon police ID'd the suspect as 52-year-old Ji Tae Kim, president of a commercial real estate company where the shooting took place.

Cops allege he was standing over the still unidentified 44-year-old victim, gun in-hand, when officers arrived on-scene yesterday:

Kim was standing over the victim, a 44-year-old male, who was lying on the floor of his office bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds. Kim immediately surrendered to officers and was taken into custody without incident.

The victim is said to be in critical condition at a hospital today.

Police say Kim was booked on suspicion of attempted murder and jailed in lieu of $1 million bail.

All these Korean "businessmen" are mobbed up criminals. LAPD refuses to take any action against the massive organized crime happening in K-Town.
