Porn Could Film In Pasadena Without Condoms

That's because, after the passage of L.A. county's mandatory condom law for adult video, the old-money town is one of the few places in the area where producers won't have to force performers to roll one on.
It's a point we've made more than once but, after Tuesday's passage of the law, city officials seem to have just figured it out:
After saying it appeared such a rule would apply to Pasadena, city spokesman William Boyer told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune this:
Pasadena currently does not have any specific health or filming regulations that require the use of condoms in films. Pasadena does allow permitted adult entertainment filming as it can't restrict it under the First Amendment.
Yeah, the initiative, which requires massage-parlor-like permits and mandatory condoms for adult film shoots in 85 of 88 L.A. cities, doesn't apply to those rare municipalities like Pasadena, Long Beach and Vernon that have their own health departments.
The Tribune notes that Pasadena has, in fact, been home to porn production in the past.
So is the mostly San Fernando Valley-based industry, which has threatened to sue over the initiative and has so far defied other condom regulations, headed northeast? We'll be watching ...
