The earliest indictors of Californians' feelings toward Proposition 37, the GMO labeling law are now available, and it is not good news for supporters of the law.

With 1.3 percent of precincts reporting, opponents of the ballot outnumber supporters by a margin of 35.9% to 64.1%.

With 65% of precincts reporting, 54.6% were opposed to the measure and 45.4% were in support.

A gloom just fell over Yes on 37 campaign HQ--but the last polls were not pretty either.

Just one week ago, the USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times poll showed 44% in favor of the measure and 42% opposed, while a California Business Roundtable and the Pepperdine University School of Public Policy, suggested 50.5% of likely voters would vote against the ballot measure, and just 39.1% would support it. Those numbers were a far cry from the 3 to 1 support the ballot measure enjoyed early on.

Check back for full election results and reactions from both camps.
