With the help of more than 100 motorcycle-riding friends, a man shut down the 10 freeway in West Covina in order to propose to his four-year girlfriend.

Now the California Highway Patrol is investigating the weekend stunt and will forward its results to the L.A. County District Attorney's office for possible prosecution, CHP Officer Vince Ramirez told the Weekly.

... Sunday sometime after noon on the eastbound 10 at N. Barranca St., Ramirez said. The video indicates the shutdown happened for slightly more than 2 minutes.
One biker performs a pink-smoke burnout that sets the stage for the proposal. Other riders do donuts and pop wheelies. Some get off their bikes and tight-rope walk along the freeway barrier.
The couple was identified in reports as Hector Martinez and Paige Hernandez, and folks calling themselves Hector and Paige were interviewed on Power 106 after the stunt:
"Hector" claimed that more than 300 of his biker friends participated in the shutdown so he could get down on one knee.
She said yes.
It's not clear if the CHP has contacted the couple yet, but the patrol's Ramirez said "they already ID'd some of the major parties involved in this."
"You're definitely going to jail," Power personality Big Boy told the pair.
