The scene at the Rack overnight Thursday.
Updated at the bottom with five suspects arrested, their IDs and more info. First posted at 8:01 a.m. Headline has changed.

The arrests of three alleged gang members in connection with the horrific robbery and hostage-taking at a Westchester Nordsrom Rack were reported over the weekend.

Details were expected at a press conference today.

Police started to take suspects into custody on Friday, according to ...

... NBC Los Angeles which, along with KNX 1070 Newsradio reporter Claudia Peschiutta, tweeted the news last night.

It was the Los Angeles Times that found out that the three are suspected gang members and that an alleged, key bad guy was arrested in Phoenix Saturday.

Cops aren't yet saying what led to the trio, and when we reached out to LAPD officials Sunday night we had no luck.

The robbery was reported shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday after an employee called a loved one and said there was a heist at the store, police told us. The store had been closed for more than an hour.

The first officers on scene saw enough -- a man who went back inside the store and another who appeared to take a woman to the back against her will -- that the SWAT team was called out and a standoff ensued, according to the department.

However, when SWAT team members entered the store shortly after 3 a.m. Friday, apparently after receiving more information that 14 people had been stashed or were hiding in the back of the store, the suspects were long gone.

Police were investigating whether an SUV found at Washington Place and Globe Avenue near Tito's Taco's in Culver City was a getaway vehicle.

[Update at 10:30 p.m.]: Police today announced that five people have been arrested. According to an LAPD statement, the suspects include the following:

Rochelle Monique Sherman, 33-years- old, of Los Angeles for 32 P.C. (Accessory). Her bail is set $100,000.

Troy Marsay Hammock, 29-years-old, of Los Angeles for 211 P.C. (Robbery).
He is being held without bail on a parole hold.

Everett Oneal Allen, 24-years-old, of Los Angeles for 211 P.C. (Robbery).
His bail is set at $1,080,000.

Raymond Sherman, Jr., 34-years-old, of Los Angeles for 211 P.C. (Robbery).
He is being held in Phoenix without bail pending his return to Los Angeles.

Paula Roneshia Bradley, 29-years-old, of Los Angeles for 32 P.C. (Accessory).
Her bail is set at $100,000.

Four the suspects were taken into custody in the L.A. area while a fifth was arrested in the Phoenix area, cops say.

It's about time the LAPD spent time chasing down actual criminals instead of the Lindsey Lohans and medical marijuana dispensery owners they usually waste time and money on.

Hey let's do 15 counts of armed kidnapping, 1 armed rape and a baker's dozen of life felonies all at the same time and go down the river for 1000 years. If dudes had walked in and grabbed arm loads of designer whatever and simply walked out...and got caught - they would get 3 months and some probation.
