Before the media could descend on the Big Bear area today CBS Los Angeles / KCAL reporter Carter Evans was there ... right in the middle of a shootout ... on live television.
LAPD / Ted Soqui Dorner.
The reporter ducked down behind a news truck as dozens of rounds rang out near a cabin where accused cop killer Christopher Dorner is believed to be holed up.
It was captured on this video:
Evans says:
We are now on the ground, behind the wheels of our car right now ... We are right, right in the center of the action here.
A cop tells him to "Get the f-- out of here now!," and he does.
Probably a wise move.
