Dorner Burned Alive?

Updated at the bottom with a response to the allegations from San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner John McMahon. First posted at 1:39 p.m.

Not long after a cabin where Christopher Dorner was believed to be holed up was reduced to ashes did the twittersphere erupt with a incendiary conspiracy theories of its own.

Led by hacker group Anonymous, some folks allege that San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies, who lost one of their own yesterday in a shootout, set the cabin on fire purposefully.

They linked to police scanner audio of the standoff to prove their point:

At times cops are heard saying:

... We're gonna go forward with the plan, with, er, with the burn. We want it, er, like we talked about. ... Seven burners [tear gas canisters] deployed and we have a fire.

And:

We're going to burn him out ... Burn this motherfucker!

(That last quote can be heard during Carter Evans' CBS Los Angeles report from the middle of a shootout).

One blog post is headlined "LAPD pulls 'Waco' on Christopher Dorner," (although it appears that the standoff was led by San Bernardino deputies).

Cops told the Los Angeles Times that incendiary CS gas canisters were indeed used on purpose after "traditional" tear gas didn't seem to do the trick.

That hasn't seemed to appease the conspiracy theorists:

[Update at 4:23 p.m.]: At a news conference today San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner John McMahon said that his deputies did not try to set the cabin -- and thus Dorner -- on fire on-purpose.

He told reporters:

It was not on-purpose. We did not intentionally burn down that cabin to get Mr. Dorner out. ... Then we used [tear gas] that does generate a lot of heat. We had introduced those canisters into the residence, then a fire erupted.

The pyrotechnic-type canisters are commonly referred to as burners.

It's obvious that this was all set up.. what i think is laughable is that they are finding "loopholes" so they don't have to pay the reward..

what i love about this is that, they are not planning to give out the million dollar reward

Due process wasn't violated.  Every time officers tried to take him into custody he presented a deadly threat.  That means deadly force was justified while trying to apprehend him.  If he walked out of the cabin with his hands in the air and was still shot... then you'd have a right to complain.

No. Flash-bangs and tear gas rounds are in the Use of Force matrix. That they cause fires is well known to all. No commander worth his salt would have organized an entry on this guy. Suicide mission.+ Dorner knew this was the end. Dorner should have known he was a walking dead man the moment he stepped out of his car in Irvine.

o.p.pascual

Anyone who agrees with setting the cabin on fire to kill Dorner must not care about their rights to due process. In a country where we are "innocent until proven guilty" I guess the police are now judge, jury, and executioner all wrapped up into one. How convenient.

@o.p.pascual I absolutely care about due process.  Dorner had multiple days to surrender and didn't.  When he was cornered instead of surrendering he continued to present a deadly threat.  At that point the cops are justified in using deadly force to apprehend him.  He made the decision to die.

Yes Dorner was a criminal and derserved to be tried in court. Even Saddam Hussein had a trial. The most important thing that burned in that cabin was due process.

no doubt about it, planned it & acted on it.

Every idiot posting that Dorner was a "hero, savior, and had more work to do," should be the next in line to have thier houses burned down- with them in it. Funerals of good people are backing up like air traffic, because that pu$$y couldnt deal with  his pathetic life. I can only hope that anyone supporting Dorner and his atrocities is the next to suffer the pain he caused so many people. The cops aren't to blame- enablers like you are.....

For sure...I was watching it live going from ch.2 back to ch.9 (sister station) for the best coverage.straight out the cops said: sending in "Incendiay Device" which is a device made out of white phosphorus that is used to start fires... tear gas my ass, they did not use that! I believe that even if Mr. Dorner had decided to come out hands raised they would of shot him over 100 times...from Feb.9th the orders were to shot on site! I mean they fired over 50 rounds at two women (ages 71,and 47) driving a blue Toyota Tacoma delievering news papers last week, one women taking two bullets in her back the other women taking one in her throwing hand...(was amazing that none of them were killed), then 2 blocks away and only minutes later, they crashed into a grey Honda Ridgeline and shot 3 oor 4 rounds into the front windshield of another inocent man (missing his head by inches) who was on his way to go surf a few waves before going to work...

Dear CNN Management,

What the hell are you doing putting Dick---Thornburgh on the Air like that!

Making the statement, “don’t get involved, you will muck up the investigations for the experts”---if anything there is a massive cover-up going on.  Thornburgh: 'Pure Fantasy'--------how about the Treason Case authored by U.S. Congress---1998 Cox Report---that Dick dodged to investigate—back in late years of Reagan’s Term [see the letter below].  What a laugh---just asked Special Agent Jo CraCraft [FBI]---why she cried in 1988 [in her now closed down Redondo Office in CA], ten years later America was handed the 1998 Cox Report [Treason].  And Ron Brown smacks into a Mountain, and Rep. Dornan is relieved of his duties after complaining about the only female survivor of the crash….no mention to the other members of the crash Bechtel employee and 32thers.

Just as Thornburgh did his “pure fantasy” in the Slide-matic case in Torrance California---it has become a Nightmare now in the Dorner’s event [“mistaken identity”---yeah right]; see November 28th, 1990 letter sent to the U.S. Attorney’s office in Washington.

Letter from Don Karg in Long Beach to Dick’s office in Washington DC.

11/28/1990

Dear Sir,

Since our communication (Slide-matic employees’ and the Anti-Trust Unit] in the Third-Quarter of 1988 over the phone, the RACKETEERING has destroyed Slide-matic.  Unfortunately the events up until this letter is unacceptable to the term American.

I have enclosed my recent correspondence to the Landlord to resolve our problem since the law enforcement is slow to prevent crimes against myself, and the country; even when informed in writing (October 12th, 1989 Torrance City Attorney, Mr. Nelson, and May 7th 1990 Torrance- District Attorney’s Office, a Homicide Agent).

The situation has gotten out of hand here in Southern California as Lynwood Sheriff’s deputies take on their own entity (called the Vikings as reported by the Press Telegram on December 2nd, 1990) because of incompetent leadership to the situation.  This does not improve JUSTICE nor does it help CIVIL RIGHTS/FREEDOMS--- noting the Class Action Lawsuit against the Lynwood’s Sheriff Station.  We (the Slide-matic Employees) are force d to deal with CARSON SUBSTATION (SHERIFFS) and the TORRANCE POLICE (a service that is bought by the City of Torrance)…all are involved in major cases involving personnel in racketeering/skimming drug money/dealing drugs/extortions/violence/etc., etc…   Tolerance can be only SO MUCH!

The Southern California Media is suppressing corrective actions by refusing to publish facts/ and events.  The Media is in full knowledge of the most significant events but are neglecting their duties as a REAL NEWSPAPPER, SUPPORTING DEMOCRACY; this action is causing our communities to disintegrate into gang/mafia/secret societies.  However, this is nothing new to California but this time this view will not benefit the ones in Washington.

Please correspond in writing, if the staff is available, to work on this case to bring out much more of the criminal behaviors that have plagued my three year term in California.  The Hollingsworth Report in U.S. Dana Rohrabacher’s office can provide answers and guidelines to why events had to be.

Sincerely,

Don Karg

Really, Mark Furman suggesting Fox News [it might have been MSNBC] where to investigate ----“How LAPD Hired Dorner?”---obviously he was a good match for this known Corrupt organization; Furman after all his has done enough—“ felony perjury conviction”----is banned from serving as a police officer in most states.  So this guy has obstructed justice before!  Some even think he is deep in to the OJ Murder, and he had authored a Book [of his Murder].  And you put him on the air after the largest manhunt in history and expect creditable advice?   It makes good TV.  Since Mark Fuhrman named in the dead suspected cop killer's manifesto Chris Dorner----maybe there is more to the story?  You think?

So, there are two sets of standards.  One for cops and one for the rest of us.   One gets to shoot first, go on a paid vacation, the promotion.  The other can't even have a decent gun for protect ourselves from them.

Everything Donner has done, so has the LAPD.    However, Dorner is gone, but LAPD remains.   I'm tired of caving in on all the gun bans.    If my neighborhood cop carries hi cap mags and assault weapons, that's the same options I like to have.  If my neighborhood cop carries a machine guns, that's the options I like to have.   If my neighborhood cop are unarmed, then I will know I no longer need a gun.   I don't need the SWAT armor vehicle or the SWAT guns, but as a citizen I have the right to the same type of firearms being carried by the the neighborhood cops, whom judging by this incident, can't protect me from themselves and can't be trusted.

Yes, Villaraigosa the dimwitted reconquista with his beloved American flag pin and "White House" in his little mind, muttered some platitudes which he earnestly repeated once he recalled the talking point he managed to memorize.

I say good. He's dead. He killed enough people to warrant a burning death. Better that than housing him in prison and keeping him alive and tying shit up in court. La-dee-fucking-da

lilneily2005

@Ryan Walker he is not dead, he escaped.  Another body is used in the cabin with similar features, he ripped out his teeth and implanted them in the body.  He will be doing the next Bourne Adventure to a new level.  The rest of the intended vics will slowly but surely die of unexplained accidents. Wrong Ryan.

The other day Beck and Commander Smith said the investigation into Dorner's firing would re-opened because LAPD is "fair and trasnsparent". If that was really the case then why were news helicopters equipped with videocameras pushed back 6 miles and prevented from documenting Dorner's death? I understand that San Bernandino County Sheriffs were in charge yesterday on scene, but how can we believe a word they say when they prohibited anybody else but police from seeing the truth.

The latest casualty in our descent towards Orwellian totalitarianism. The Times and other news agencies write little OpEds, we all crow from the left or the right, the police agencies briefly censure an officer to appease the masses, nothing changes, and we lose a little more.
