After UCLA saw three reported sexual attacks during the 2011-12 school year and one last month, school police said this week they were on the hunt for yet another suspect whom they say used the guise of selling magazines to get close to his victim at her Westwood Village residence off-campus.

A UCLA police official told us, however, that investigators don't believe that case is related to any others:

In the latest case the department says a man posing as someone selling subscriptions to magazines approached the victim, not a student, on Friday at 8:15 p.m. in the 700 block of Gayley Avenue.

According their statement:

... A male suspect ... under the guise of selling magazines ... knocked on the victim's door and entered the victim's residence, where he attempted to sexually batter the victim.

He fled south on Gayley, police said.

The suspect was described as white, 5 feet, 10 inches, 200 pounds, with sunglasses on his shaved head. Strangely, cops said he was wearing blue shorts and a blue hooded sweatshirt.

In an attempted sexual assault Jan. 7 near Parking Structure 9 on campus the suspect was described as being in his early 30s, measuring 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet and having a thin build. That suspect wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, police said.

That guy might or might not be connected to an attempted murder of a female student who took a public bus home to East Hollywood only to be attacked by a suspect who had followed her home from campus, according to the UCLA Daily Bruin.

As far as we know, those cases have yet to be solved.

@Dominic Pace Never hear anybody say that when they're black or Latino (just sayin').
