Venice Zip Line Approved For Spring
Starting as soon as spring, flying high in Venice will no longer just describe what homeless youths do on the boardwalk.

Yes, after a big push by L.A. city Councilman Bill Rosendahl, the community he represents will get a zip line.
The project needed the approval of a notoriously hard to please bunch:
During it's meeting yesterday the California Coastal Commission approved a three-month trial run for the zip line, spokeswoman Sarah Christie told us.
The vote was 7 to 4, she said.
Under the city's proposal, up to four 750-foot lines will be set up in spring or summer: The take off starts at 44 feet, and the landing platform will be 24 feet in the air.
The cover charge? $20, which is cheaper and more fun than some of the weed the rasta guys sell along the beach.
