Cops in Whittier were on the lookout for a creep in a red convertible they believe has been trying to kidnap girls all month long.

The latest attempt happened yesterday when an 11-year-old was grabbed and put in the backseat of the car near a park, police said: Also in the backseat? A girl who appeared to be about 7-years-old. Crying. Yeah.

Both managed to escape, Whittier officials said. It all happened ...

... about 2:35 p.m. in front of Founders Park, according to a Whittier Police Department statement.

The 11-year-old made it home and called cops, police said; the whereabouts of the 7-year-old were unknown.

Police say a man fitting the description of Thursday's suspect opened his car door for a 17-year-old walking down the street on Feb. 5 at 11:25 a.m. It happened in the 13000 block of Broadway near Broadway Park and not far from Founders, cops say.

The teen called police.

The same day, at 4:40 p.m., cops were called after two high-school-aged girls got into a verbal confrontation with a man near the city's Central Park, police said: The suspect had been trying to get the girls in his car.

According to a Whittier PD statement:

In all three cases, the suspect was last seen driving an unknown make or model red convertible with a tan roof. The common suspect description is that of a male, Hispanic, 25-35 years of age, 5'11"-6'00", medium to heavy build. In the most recent incident, the female victim described the suspect as having short black hair, with a tattoo of three dots on his left hand.

Additionally, Whittier police Officer Brad White told us the red convertible is a two-door model with a dent in its right rear body panel.

If you think you know who the suspect or suspects might be, the Whittier Police Department would love to hear from you: 562-567-9241.

There was another little girl in the car and she escaped too and nobody knows who she is and the only person who saw her was the 11 year old and the kidnapper ? Oh please. The cops can't tell when somebody is pulling their leg ? The 11 year old was probably late getting home from school or something. She'd  heard about the "kidnapper in the red car" so she concocted a story involving this kidnapper  so she wouldn't get in trouble. There is no other little girl and she was never in any red car. The whole thing is fiction.

The robocalls have gone out, Uptown is crawling with cops, news crews at the parks and schools, everyone in Whittier has their eyes open.  And if we citizens catch this POS, he's gonna wish the cops got him first.
