DUI Checkpoints, Patrols For Silver Lake, Hollywood, Long Beach Starting Tonight

Yeah, as things warm up out there, the heat is on. The LAPD, the L.A. County Sheriff's Department and Long Beach police have a bunch of DUI checkpoints waiting for you this weekend.
They want you to know about them in hopes that maybe you'll avoid drinking and driving altogether. Here's your drunk-driver checkpoint cheat sheet for the weekend:
Friday (tonight):
-The LAPD will operate a checkpoint from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Hyperion Avenue and Scotland Street in Silver Lake.
-From 8 p.m. to 2 p.m. there will be a checkpoint at Figueroa and Ninth streets downtown.
-From 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. there will be a DUI "saturation patrol" throughout the LAPD's Hollywood Division area.
LAPD
-From 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. there will be an L.A. County Sheriff's Department checkpoint somewhere in the city of Carson (they're not telling us exactly where).
Saturday:
-From 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. the LAPD will have a checkpoint waiting for you at Cahuenga Boulevard and Broadlawn Drive near Universal City.
-From 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Long Beach police will have a checkpoint set up in its North Division area (they're not telling us exactly where).
Sunday:
-From 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. the LAPD will be on "saturation patrol" in the Department's Foothill Division area.
