$4 Million Worth Of Marijuana Found On Santa Barbara County Beach
Despite their taste in verdant herbal remedies, smugglers did not have the luck of the green on St. Patrick's Day.

Authorities in Santa Barbara said they found and seized their $4 million stash on Arroyo Camada Beach early Sunday morning.
The weed weighed 2,000 pounds:
Santa Barbara County Sheriff's deputies were summoned to the beach to check out an abandoned, 30 foot panga boat, according to a statement.
Those boats are often associated with drug smuggling from Mexico, as seen in the $1 million find of pot near a panga boat on Vandenberg Air Force Base earlier this month.
The deputies soon found the weed. The sheriff's statement:

Narcotics detectives recovered 50 plastic-wrapped bales of marijuana, weighing approximately 2,000 pounds, with an estimated street value of 4 million dollars. The bales of marijuana were found partially secreted within bushes, adjacent to the roadway leading to and from Arroyo Camada Beach.
Cops searched for suspects but came up empty handed.
U.S. Homeland Security Investigations was assisting the local sheriff's department with the case.
The sheriff's department says 20 pangas have have been discovered along the Santa Barbara County coast since 2012.
