Trayvon Mayhem Hits SoCal's High Desert
Displeasure with the George Zimmerman verdict reached the high desert of Southern California this week, and so did some of the unrest associated with recent protests seeking justice for slain teen Trayvon Martin.

Demonstrators descended on the Mall of Victor Valley yesterday afternoon, but some of the participants broke off and got out of hand, authorities said:
Cynthia Bachman of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department says about 80 marchers headed from the mall to Bear Valley Road.
They were "mostly peaceful," she said, but 10 to 15 "juveniles" rushed a Chevron gas station nearby, "opened items" and left without paying up, she said.
And then a group from the protest tried to get in the mall but were thwarted by that highest-tech of security measures, locked doors, Bachman said.
Although deputies told them they had to go, as many as eight did not and were detained for allegedly failing to disperse, she said.
