End-of-Summer DUI Arrests in L.A. on The Rise
The end-of-summer Labor Day holiday DUI crackdown across Los Angeles county is still in its early days, but already there has been an increase in arrests, sheriff's officials said over the weekend.

Not only that but of 187 suspected drunk drivers arrested Saturday night alone, six were involved in injury crashes, according to the sheriff's department:
Ten days into the annual end-of-summer drunk driver crackdown and the L.A. County Sheriff's Department says arrests are up compared to the same period last year -- 1,373 vs. 1,258.
And it's not over yet. The so-called maximum-enforcement period, which involves nearly every law enforcement agency in L.A. county, lasts through Sept. 2, Labor Day, and will see dozens of checkpoints and drunk patrols.
