This is probably as close as you'll get.

Videographer Robert Macintosh, known for previous "fly through" escapades, brings you his latest beach fantasy (via Yo! Venice!):

Loopnet
The commercial real estate listing service Loopnet made a downtown Los Angeles building disappear live in front of a wowed audience.

And we have the video (after the jump) to prove it.

Okay, so it was really just a giant, outdoor advertising and P.R. stunt. But it's also pretty cool nonetheless:

It was a comedy of errors that could have been tragic.

Some folks thought it was a good idea to walk around and go inner-tubing on thin ice formed after recent snowfall in one of the otherwise warmer climes in the United States -- Southern California.

It was a mistake caught on video:

Cops vs. protesters in Anaheim.
If we were the Anaheim Police Department, we'd also put our IT geeks on high alert.

While cops in the Orange County city stood off with protesters overnight after two officer involved shootings in the largely Latino town put residents on-edge, the notorious hacker group Anonymous appears to have officially sided with the people in the streets.

A video unleashed on YouTube this morning says:

On June 12, two calls came in to the CHP, minutes apart from one another. The first, at 3:31pm, reported an incident of highway violence on I-5 north near 7th Street. The second, at 3:33pm, reported the suspects had fled the scene.

"The whole incident took two minutes," CHP Officer Christian Baldonado says. "By the time our units get there, no one is there. The fire department also goes and sweeps the area, they don't find anyone."

The story might have ended there if it wasn't uploaded to the website LiveLeak by an out of work croupier and casino dealer in Northern Ireland.

Updated at 3:20pm: CHP is looking for more information on the victim. Originally posted at 12:07pm

Let's say you're driving down I-5, jamming out to Drake's "Take Care," and you see four men on the side of the road at what appears to be the start of an altercation--what do you do?

If you were this passing motorist, you whip out your camera phone and catch the whole thing--from the heated words, to the muay thai kicks and punches, to the license plate number of the VW Jetta in which three assailants flee the scene--on video.

Fair warning: it's pretty graphic...

Video: Police Officer in West Covina Fired For Making Comedy Clip?

Categories: Video

Stop ... making crap videos.
A lame comedy video about a fake traffic stop has some wannabe Southern California cops in trouble this week. The Venice-based producer of the piece told the Weekly that one officer has been fired for his appearance in uniform in the clip, but the West Covina Police Department says that ain't so.

Let us explain: The prankish clip by Zoochosis.com depicts some schmendrick in a Prius getting pulled over by police at gunpoint. They demand to know where the little girl is and the man, reduced to tears, says, sincerely, I don't know.

The officers burst into laughter and point at him:

Video Exclusive: Hollywood Club Goers Reveal Their Sex Desires at the Dragonfly's Miss Kitty's Parlour

Club goers talk about their sex lives
Ladies, as you head out Friday night hoping to meet someone, know this: Nine out of 10 guys you see will have had one-night stands with someone they met at a bar or club -- and more than a quarter of them have bagged someone new in just the last month.

One guy's technique: "Begging. It works."

Guys, as you head out Friday, know this: Only half of the straight women you meet have ever hooked up with someone they met at a bar or club. As a 27-year-old single woman, a dancer, put it: I hate "any guy who hangs out at a bar." Yet there she was. Hanging out, at a bar.

How do we know all of this? Because we asked. On Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, the Weekly sent 10 teams of researchers to locations across the city to learn about the sexual preferences and practices of Angelenos out on the town.

At the Dragonfly's Miss Kitty's Parlour sex-themed party in Hollywood, we set up a camera and invited people to tell us of their desires and adventures. That NSFW video can be watched here after the jump...
