The nationwide assault campaign against emos in Mexico continues to surge forward, as word is spreading that emos will be hunted and beaten by anti-emo kids in Tijuana on Saturday. Word is emos will rumble with their adversaries at Plaza Rio, Tijuana's central outdoor mall. But hold on. My younger sister, who works at a high school in San Diego where many students commute daily from Tijuana (yes, that's life on the border), says: "My kids were saying that they were pissed because everyone is talking about it and they think the word got out already, location might change."
Meanwhile, here in Mexico City, El Universal reports that emos plan to march on Saturday alongside other "urban tribes" from their unofficial base of the Glorieta de Insurgentes to El Chopo, the revered youth alternative street market where the various tribes of Mexico City usually coexist without trouble. It's an effort to display unity and tolerance as the prospects of more assaults linger online and in the streets. Updates later.
Previously, over at Intersections, "The emos of Mexico are fighting back."

This is a bunch of crap! The reason why emo's are getting their asses kicked goes way back. Their lifestyle is a bunch of crap and shouldn’t even be acceptable.
The fact that most emo's I know are out there cutting themselves shouldn't be acceptable. They should all be banned, and go fucking get help and a life. Their music is a depiction of all their problems they don’t have the balls to cope with. They’re all a bunch of coward assholes.
Then there’s does ignorant assholes that think its cool to look "emo". (Hashanah)...Well we all know there’s some really sucky people out there without talent and there’s always that asshole with bad taste. That’s life. Good taste is noticed and will always be respected, but no one respects emo, than what does that say??
Most of the people I know hate emo because it has overshadowed good taste, (specially towards music). It’s like replacing a president with some lowlife. They had an attempt to copy things with good taste (such as punk), and they make it look bad. Now you got ignorant people who mistake such a beautiful thing as punk to emo! What kind of crap is that!? Punk came first that is a fact! Punk is nothing like emo!!!! Emo's overshadow a good genre and that’s a disgrace to our generation.
Why all the other people have to support them? Now can’t they have the balls to defend themselves when encountering conflict? If not, then they are a bunch of childish assholes, lowlife fuckers. We shouldn't have to stand up for them because they can’t do it themselves. They are all well grown up and can make this grown up decisions.

This is a bunch of crap these kids shuold be nmore concerned about their future not about protesting because their getting beat up,theyre basically asking for it. The ones that are attacking the emos should get a life too.Theyre living the corrupt government of Mexico and not doing anything about it but beating up emos. The fact that Mexican government is focusing on this problem is ridiculous they should be concerned about making Mexico a safer more economic place rather than being a third world country
