Wheatpasted posters across from the Tiki-Ti and KCET on a Sunset Blvd. billboard pole near Virgil.

More pasting - and stickers - on Santa Monica Blvd. near Manzanita, covering up those terrible Colt .45 poster ads. Also the masked "owl."

There are a lot of art shows around town well worth checking out.
Miles Thompson's show, "CA," at La Luz de Jesus on Hollywood Blvd. in Los Feliz runs through Sept. 30.

More images from the opening here.
Luke Chueh's "Paintings of Hope" is at Gallery 1988 on Melrose and LaBrea.

More photos of Luke Chueh's new work here. The second half of Chueh's new works, "The Hopeless Reception" opens September 25 at Gallery 1988.
Audrey Kawasaki's new works are on display at Nucleus on Main St. in Alhambra.

More images from OC Weekly here. Kawasaki's show is called "Ephemera" and features the art of Fuco Ueda as well.
Opposite the huge exposed wall in the old Silver Lake community garden is a more hidden, smaller wall with some very nice work on it. You may have to jump a fence to see it, or cross the small wall behind el Pollo Loco, but it's worth it.

For the past several years the empty lot near el Pollo Loco on Sunset and Sanborn has been a little community farm growing flowers, tomatoes and vegetables. Now it's empty and there's a for sale sign on it. But in the past few weeks one entire wall got an amazing re-design.
