At the Market: Time to Get Stoned

Categories: Farmers Markets

Summer is rushing in at our local farmers' markets. We already talked cherries, and now it's other stone fruits' turn. This was the second week in a row that peaches and apricots have shown up. Arnett Farms displayed an ample supply, along with its usual citrus fruits. So far the peaches are small, but it's only bigger and better from hereon out through the coming months.

The Atwater Village Farmers' Market is responding to the expanding seasonal bounty with an extra row of vendors. The market in the Wells Fargo Bank parking lot on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. added Bolanos Family Sprouts, organic peaches from Naylor Farms, Simms Cherries, and Asian greens from Salacup Farms to the regular roster.
