During a summer heavy with food documentaries, a light food narrative seems just the ticket. The golden ticket, that is. Based on the Roald Dahl novel, the story follows Charlie Bucket, who lives in poverty with his mother and four grandparents until he buys a Wonka Scrumdiddlyumptious chocolate bar. He finds the coveted last golden ticket -- his key to the mysterious factory where the chocolate is made, and its equally mysterious maker, Mr. Willy Wonka -- and his life is changed forever.

Usually Matt's Movies is an exclusive benefit of donating to the public radio station at the Angel and Archangel level, but Free For All Movie Mondays are open to the public. The film will screen outside the Orange County Performing Arts Center's Community Plaza , on the side of Segerstrom Hall at dusk (about 8 p.m.).
