• Cupcakes are the biggest fad right now, I hate cupcakes, they are not cute, and are usually too dry, too sweet, and just plain lazy work. Pastry is all about showing hard work and dedication, especially skill, it doesn't take skill to make cupcakes, on the other hand, it takes critical skill to make a wedding cake or birthday/celebration cake. C'mon peeps.

• If any of you came from the NJ area, you would not put your noses up to Magnolia's cutcakes. Just wait until they open, they'll blow all those donuts, buntd cakes and other confections out of business.

• Forget standing in line. You can stroll right in to Kiss My Bundt and get the best cake in LA--right down the street from Orlando and 3rd!

• Another "meh" to the cupcake madness here -- I'd sooner do doughnuts (mmm... peach ones at donut man) macarons at paulettes, cakes at kiss my bundt or pretty much any of the pastries at huckleberry or susina!

• ENOUGH WITH THE CUPCAKES!!! When will people learn how to bake real pastry again? Or is it now a black art, purely relegated to the realm of obscurity? ANY 3RD GRADER CAN MAKE A CUPCAKE!
