Get Back on Track with Brats and Beer at Rush Street

Brats and Fries at Rush Street
Paying the price of too much partying? Then head to Rush Street in Culver City for a "morning after" restorative brunch. And if it's just too hard to drag out of bed, don't worry. You have plenty of time. Brunch on Saturday and Sunday starts at 9 a.m., but doesn't end until 3 p.m. (Which means that if you're a mess after yesterday's line-up, you're out of luck until next weekend.)

Start with a build-your-own Bloody Mary, choosing from a spread of hot sauces, olives, spices and garnishes set out on the bar.

Then dig into a Rush Street special--brats, fries and beer, which went on the menu this past Saturday in honor of football season. It's a real retro dish, a basket of Hofbrau brats in buns and a big helping of Tater Tots. The brats are laced with yellow mustard, then topped with caramelized onions. The $10 price includes a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Maybe you could ask for sweet potato fries or truffle fries instead of Tater Tots, but Rush Street's barbecue-seasoned Tots are darned good. Then sit back and watch a weekend game. There are eight TVs, which makes every seat a good one.
