There's no better way to celebrate the arrival of cool autumn days then by walking around downtown L.A. in a pair of lederhosen and drinking a strong German beer. This year, instead of paying for the expensive flight to Munich (or driving to Alpine Village in, umm, Torrance), celebrate the changing seasons at the first ever LA Oktoberfest.

Barcelona Enterprises is holding the fest this Saturday, October 10th at downtown's LA Mart to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall. Attendees can enjoy traditional German beer and food, Bavarian music and drinking games. And there will be bar maids.

With authentic-costumed entertainers and planned sing-a-longs, LA Oktoberfest is guaranteed to be a fun event, and tickets are almost sold out. That means hundreds of Angelenos to yodel and ompah with. Luckily, 100 extra VIP tickets have been added. At a whopping $100, these tickets include early admission (12 p.m.), a 1-liter glass Boot stein, and a drinking and eating pass that lasts until the fest ends at 6pm.

A portion of the event's proceeds will benefit the Make a Wish Foundation, the Children's Tumor Foundation, and Homeboy Industries, an organization that helps formerly gang involved and at-risk youth. So that hefty admission price puts your money towards a good cause and, for those who don't consider beer cause enough.
